| Being a caterer I heard the Half Moon had a new Chef so i thought i'd try it out and i'm so glad i did. The choice and quality was top notch, so obviously prepared fresh,step aside Heston. The service was brilliant and friendly and the selection of beers available was second to none. | We booked table for 7 in October and again for 9 for the 6th December. Both reservations were cancelled without our knowledge. Despite leaving our name and phone no. By coincidence on both dates we were gozumped by parties of 40 and 50. Strange? Coincidence? No explanation offered by the owners, an apology was given and an offer of a table in the bar, however at their prices eating in a public bar!I was told I was rude for offering money towards their telephone bill, since they could not be bothered to phone us.
