| I read the reviews before we went, they all complain about the accomodation. Well we went for Saturday lunch. The pub is simply furnished and cosy, as you would expect of a period Cotswold property. The staff were polite and service was good. The menu was extensive with a varied choice. My wife had a Rib-eye steak, whilst I opted for the Venison. Both were well cooked, we followed this up with a sweet, in my case the cheese board, which was one of the best I have had. As to the price, well you get what you pay for, over all this was good quality food so I don't think it was over priced for this class of establishment. We dine out regularly and we would go back. | I agree with the other reviewers - this place was ridiculously overpriced. We'd have got better value at a Travel Lodge! Our room too was tiny and when I wrote a letter to the manafer it went unanswered. Find somewhere else to stay![Report for Removal] | Mike London Leeds West Yorkshire |

| Terrible value for money. A very expensive hotel room that was only slightly larger than the bed it contained. | Despite it's reputation for offering 'a haven for discerning visitors' this offered possibly the worst value for money at any hotel I have ever stayed in. Very pleasant staff but a room about 8 feet square, a tiny box bathroom and very few facilities. Bathroom sink was blocked (we brushed our teeth in the shower!), very measly tea/coffee making facilities and no mirror in the bedroom! All that for a staggering £150.
