| Was travelling to Nailsworth for a football match having come off the M5 and was looking for somewhere for lunch and a pint so came across this one en route almost by accident. Accident it nearly was as the pub comes up pretty quick on a slow left hander and had to brake pretty smartish for the car park. Seemed a cosy enough place and was pretty full for a Saturday lunchtime; first table we came to was reserved so we were moved on to a smaller annexe. Wide choice on menu but as we are not the Rothschilds we opted for the cheapest - old spot sausage and mash at £9.95. I'd guess these sort of prices are the local going rate. Food was hot and tasty and service very brisk, the beers were well kept enough. Have benchmarked this pub for a return visit next season if the Stags don't get promoted and Forest Green Rovers don't get relegated! [Report for Removal] | Jeff Mansfield Notts |

| We ate at the Old Fleece Saturday lunch time. It was quiet(run up to xmas perhaps)The staff were polite, there is a good choice of real ales. There is a good selection on the set menu and also a daily specials board. We started with olives before our main course which was well presented with hot vegatables on the side.
