| Beautiful and historically interesting pub with superb outside setting and gardens. Very good food and beer. However being lunchtime we wanted to eat in the light and airy conservatory and told that was fine but when meal arrived and shown our table were offered one inside the pub in a rather dark area even though the conservatory was only a quarter full. We queried this and told there wasnt a table suitable... I think by spending over £30 we could have been given a table of our choice. But will return another time.. We also think the same as another reviewer who were told their teenage children arnt allowed to eat there as being underage !! | we pulled up thinking this was going to be a lovely pub - we asked for a table for 5 - went inside with our three children - ages 12, 14 and 16 and we were told children are not welcome!! so we will never go there again their loss not ours - parents avoid here[Report for Removal] | mrs gardner longhope glos |
