| I have stayed at the Woodman a few times over the past few years, using it as a base to walk the surrounding area. The food is excellent and there is a good selection of well kept real ales. 'Mine hosts' Mike & Michelle are always friendly and all the staff will go 'the extra mile' to ensure that your visit is a truly pleasant experience. I would strongly recommend a visit although the last weekend (30th Jan to 1st Feb 2009) that I was there, they were so full they had to turn people away...and it was meant to be the quietest weekend of the year!
