| We went to the Old Mill for my Dad's birthday - my parents having recmmended it based on a recent visit for lunch. I have to say I was very impressed. The food was excellent and they were able to cater for our specific requests including those of my fussy 12 year old! A special mention for the two young girls who provided an excellent waitress service throughout. Highly recommended.[Report for Removal] | W Scott Balerno Midlothian |

| We were advised that this local village pub was worth the visit. It was warm and freindly and was very comfortable. The staff were very helpful and appeared to be very happy at their work which helps. Our meal was 1st class with the food clearly fresh and locally sourced. The tempra prawns were fresh and not over flavoured. The baked haddock was fresh and not over seasoned or spoilt with other tastes. The specials menu was very good and offered a really wide choice to suit every one. I could have chosen most of it. I can only say that coming from the highlands i would happily return and stay in the village for a a nice weekend and enjoy the Old Mill again. Quality at a reasonable price. Is that not what everyone wants 1st class[Report for Removal] | neil martin inverness highland |

| We were out for a drive and were looking for somewhere to stop and have lunch when we saw The Old Mill Inn. The lunch was excellent, the table was spotlessly clean and the staff could not have been more helpful. Would definitely go back.[Report for Removal] | Margaret Glasgow Lanarkshire |

| My partner and I decided we would like to do something a bit different for our dinner and thought about a lovely drive into the countryside and find a lovely pub/restaurant. We ended up in Killearn and saw a lovely little pub/restaurant 'The Old Mill' all we could say is it was definately worth the drive. The food was absolutely out of this world and the staff and management were extemely helpful. When I was there I did comment on the service and food and was told that it had previously been taking under new management. I had the portobello mushroom for starters and have been raving about it ever since[Report for Removal] | Joyce Curran Renfrew Renfrewshire |

| We tried The Old Mill Inn for the first time around one month ago and have been back twice since. The food and service was excellent and unlike the previous review. I know they have a new chef and given the contrast in reviews I imagine there may also be new management. Either way, the pub is in a lovely setting with a great garden and my experience is great food and great service. Over there now for Sunday lunch.[Report for Removal] | Phil Gartness Stirlingshire |

| Having sat down at our table we noticed that it was a bit dirty and there was litter from previous meals around about our chairs. My friend asked the waitress for a cloth and she promptly left a soaking wet bar towel on our table for us so that we could clean it. It remained there for the rest of the meal as did the litter on the ground. We also noticed that she studiously avoided attempts for customers to catch her attention. Unfortunatley, the Scottish attitude to service is often one that leaves the diner thinking that the staff are doing you a favour instead of being paid to do a good job for paying customers. The service and attitude of the waitress was really, exceptionally bad. The food (a homemade burger) was actually very nice. [Report for Removal] | Tam Campsie Stirlingshire |
