| We live quite close to the Swan and would recommend it to everyone. Colin and Julie are doing the food and it is excellent. It has been commented that it is pricey but for food of this quality that is not fair. We have eaten in a lot of restaurants in the area and the food in the Swan is up there with the best. | Heard that our local pub had started pub meals. Fantastic! Have been two Sundays in a row. Roast meats were excellent, crispy roast pots, lots of fresh vegetables (not frozen or dried out!) and bread & butter pudding to die for! Evening menu looks really professional, will be back! | A lovely, friendly, proper pub. They don't do food (except for the occasional charity event or bbq). They don't have irritating distractions like fruit-machines, or big screens on every wall. The TV is only switched on for big matches etc. Despite the lack of gimmicks and the tucked-away location, the Swan is one of the busiest pubs in Dawlish. Why? A good, friendly landlord and landlady, excellent bar staff, three beautifully kept real ales, dog friendly (and children welcome too!), the largest and most attractive beer garden in town and the most comfortable smoking area.
