| Visting the area so went to this place boxing day evening. We were the only couple dining which I thought was strange but reading the other reviews here perhaps its reputation precededs it! Have to say we were treated courteously and food was edible. We both had breaded mushrooms as a starter and these were counted per portion rather than weight as we were both served 8 but on one plate they were quite large and on the other 4 were very small. Main we had scampi (10) and chips and they were cooked ok. Asked for a diet coke as a drink and unfortunately it was of the draught variety and just tasted like flavoured syrup. No atmosphere to the place though,the young lad cooking sat at the bar on his laptop talking to the young bargirl. We had gone here hoping to spend a few hours relaxing but we could not get out fast enough. [Report for Removal] | Myr North East Hampshire |

| Very unfriendly lady behind the bar did nothing but moan about how busy she was, (there were 3 tables occupied), that was when she wasn't too busy watching tennis. Two younger members of staff too busy on mobile phones and talking to each other to serve customers properly. Menus were filthy. Toilets were a health hazard. Glad I didn't eat there. | Never have I been to such an unfriendly place for dinner. The carvery was v.poor and if you wanted anything else of the menu you were told that kitchen staff were too busy and it would take at least 45 mins, only then to see all the kitchen staff outside having a fag!!!!!!!!! I did not find this the norm in Dawlish everywhere else was friendly with reasonable/good food.[Report for Removal] | Nick Pow Ashford Middx |
