| I first visited the Crown And Sceptre, Newton St Cyres, Easter 2008. On the exterior, it is you typical picture postcard village pub. The interior, is just as lovely. There is a fantastic log fire ( it was the coldest and earliest Easter since Pussy was a kitten ), as warm as the hospitality of landlord Richard, and the locals. My young daughter, two at the time, was made more than welcome. The food was absolutely delicious, and their Sunday Lunch - fantastic. If you pick a day to go, Sunday is one. Most, if not all, of their food is sourced locally. They have a great choice on their menu, as well as a fantastic dessert menu. The locally produced ice cream ( the best ice cream in the world comes from Devon/Cornwall ) is first class. They stock an excellent range of ales, with my favourite - Otter Ale. Definately worth a visit. Best Of British, and 10 out of 10.[Report for Removal] | Albert Thompson Belfast Antrim |
