| Another 'local' pub which has managed to retain a degree of integrity and character. When we were there they were showing the rugby so there was a large crowd in the main lower bar area. Good selection of real ales and a couple of unusual ones. Good selection of drinks generally behind the bar. There also appeared to be an upper bar where we didnt venture. Very close to Enfield Chase station and you can walk easily into the Enfield Town centre here. Enjoyed this pub but must admit that there were a few quirky locals - one of which insisted on coming over to us and sitting right next to us when there was plenty of room to sit! Must have been in his usual seat?! Well worth a visit if you are in the area and if you are one of those diminishing band of people who likes to get out of their small flat and enjoy a pint in the pub as opposed to a sit-at-home mineral water then you could do far worse than this one.
