| Rainy half-term so we thought we'd try the Fish & Eels for lunch. The final result was disappointing - burnt food and ultimately bad service. We even ordered pretty simple food - sausage & mash, burger & chips, chicken & chips. Thirty minutes later we still no food - after asking a waitress to chase up it finally arrived (the tables next to us also seemed to wait this long). The 30 minutes seemed to have been spent burning the sausage and burger to charcoal (my chicken was actually OK). | we visited today, having been fairly regugular customers, to find the food slow, sent back on the next table because it was cold.They waited in the meantime, the other people had eaten their meal, wheb eventually their food arrived the waiter siad he couldent find it,oh yes he found it in the microwave !!. wheb ours arrived having ordered a rare to blu fillet, it was med? well done. The barmiad was short if not rude,and of some status in the pub. the waitres was obviously totaly pissed of with looking after customers, who have spent alot of money. We couldent eat outside despite the hot weather, and half thr garden area was closed off. A good pub/resturant run by kids ruined !!! | We went for a sunday lunch to the Fish and Eels today. We were told there would be a half hour wait for food. We waited an hour and 15 minutes. We complained, we then got our food, cold, things stated on the menu were missing, We ordered turkey but there was no sausages or stuffing. It was brought up on a separate plate but the sausages were raw and the bacon looked barely cooked. We ended up eating most of it because by 5pm we were starving. We complained and were only charged for half the bill. We were told the manager would come over to speak to us with an explanation. He never arrived. Needless to say we wont be visiting here ever again. Shame because beautiful surroundings and the girls serving were very friendly and apologetic[Report for Removal] | Anna Cowell london london |
