| We have visited this pub twice in recent weeks (Feb/Mar 09)and found the food and atmosphere to be great. Unfortunately I think it is suffering from the reputation of previous owners. Car park is generally empty which is a pity as the food is good and there is plenty of choice. Roaring fire in the winter and also pleasant exchanges with the owners. This place deserves to do well, when it is compared to a pub belonging to a chain a few miles away it is so much better value for money and there is no "boil in the bag" food which is endemic now in the chain restaurants.
