| A lovely Inn with staff I found to be very welcoming. The meal I had was perfect and the service equal to the food. When I arrived at the Inn, the Manager was cheerful, professional and more than helpful. Due to the traffic I did not arrive until gone 11.00 pm but I head telephoned to explain this. In fact, the same Manager took my breakfast order the following morning and he still had a smile on his face and a cheeerful manner! I felt I was very well looked after by all the staff. For the price I paid I was more than satisfied, after all the Half Moon is an Inn and NOT a Hotel which some people have difficulty in differentiating from. | My wife and I went into the pub for lunch today. We selected lunch and she found a table. I went to the bar there were three staff. Fpour customers drinking. Two of the staff were talking at one end of the bar. One was at the other end. I stood there for at least a minute without any reaction. The phone rang the lone ranger answered; one of the duo took the phone and walked away I was examined by those staff left. I called over to my wife "I do not think they want our business" in a loud voice. No reaction except from surprised customers who glanced between us and the staff. We walked out followed by rather bemused glances from the still unoccupied staff. I did not give it five red stars as it was open (just) and warm.[Report for Removal] | Harry Shaftesbury Dorset |
