| We visited this pub in April 2008. It is well decorated and spacious. When we arrived we could not find the front door (it was dark and it wasn't obvious) so we climbed the steps at the side of the building. The waiting staff supervisor opened one of the doors at the side and we asked him how to get in. "Round the front" he said and shut the patio door (could he not have let us in there?). On entering, we were greeted and shown to a table next to the waiters' till. Big mistake! The waiting staff congregated around the till to gossip and moan about fellow colleagues, the management and customers not leaving tips - no wonder! As we were fairly tired, we decided not to ask to move and just eat our meal and go. The food is this pub's saving grace. It is excellent and the chef should be commended. The pub is just let down by its waiting staff, who are obviously not schooled in the art of customer service and not supervised adequately.
