| 12th November. Opening night, just been refurbished, and smelling of paint. Black Sheep was terrible but sadly no one listened to this beer drinker. It was fizzy?? Suggest they go to the bay Horse in Hatfield and try a proper pint.[Report for Removal] | Shaun Beal Hatfield Yorkshire |

| easily the most friendly pub in thorne-everyone is treated as a v.i.p,with some of the most pleasant and polite staff i've ever met-just go and try the place-beers good,foods excellent-well worth a visit no matter where you travel from to get there![Report for Removal] | micky mc doncaster s.yorks |

| The Canal Tavern is situated on the banks of the Keadby to Stainforth canal with beautiful surroundings which can be gazed at on summer days.The inn itself is run by Ian & Yvonne Freeborn with help from sons Ian, John and Adam. The restaurant does a wide range of food which all boast fresh vegatables and has a large selection of vegetarian meals to offer.The experience of the two Julies in the kitchen makes the difference.There is also a very extensive carvery on Sunday which must not be missed.The bar area is always a place that you can find people to talk to along with an extensive range of guest beers.The Tavern have a very sucessful football team playing in the local league which attracts a lot of attention from the locals.In fact this is a very pleasant place to spend an hour or two or three on a weekend afternoon.[Report for Removal] | Graham Stewart Doncaster Yorkshire |
