| Great local pub just as they should be. Dogs welcome and even well behaved kids. Good bar meals and great sunday dinners now. Not sure about the guy in shorts on a monday night tho.[Report for Removal] | neil stringer Misson South Yorks |

| A beyond reproach example of a traditional country pub, full of great characters, grand ale and good home cooked food at a reasonable price. I for sure will continue to visit this pub repeatedly. However, IF you do want some plastic establishment that is open 24 hrs a day, serving fake beer with fake food together with fake personalities, this may NOT be the pub for you. | We called in the pub on a sunday afternoon at about 2-30 and it was obvious with the look we were given that the landlord did not want to serve us . we found it to be a grubby & unfriendly place we shall no return and will take our trade elsewhere [Report for Removal] | david roberts Bawtry South yorkshire |

| The pub itself is nice, situated in a small hamlet off the main Gainsborough Road. However, it was made quite clear that this was a pub for the locals only. It was as though we had walked in to a private members club - regulars looking us up and down. The licensee was abrupt when asked if food was being served, never made eye contact and made us feel unwelcome. We stayed for one drink and then left.
