| We recently attended a Wedding recepetion at this pub, the service was poor, (the barmaid spent more time playing with her mobile or chatting to her friends), the food was reasonable, however, whilst collecting her food from the carvery my wife must have brushed against the front of the servery and got a grease mark across the front of her suit. When another guest pointed this out, staff wiped the front of the servery and my wife spoke to the staff who said they would inform the manager/licensee and get back in touch with us. This they failed to do, after a week of constantly phoning the pub, my wife was told they intended doing nothing about this matter as they denied there had ever been grease on the servery. The manageress/licensee was most unco-operative and even abusive over the phone. My wife now has a new suit she cannot wear again, it has been professionally cleaned, but the mark is still clearly visible. Needless to say we will not be visiting again. | What a great shame that nobody in this attractive little pub know anything about food and its presentation. Today I had what must be the worst meal I have had in years. Soggy roast potatoes and yorkshire pudding all hidden by the only redeaming feature which was tasty beef, all drenched in a sauce which although good just swamped all the meal. The vegetables were either hard or boiled to death. The fact that it was served in a very oversized soup bowl made me feel I was back in the nursery.
