| After being recomended to try the black horse we decided to book for our sons birthday. We took a party of 10 to dine, the pub has a great atmosphire warm and the friendly staff really made our evening most enjoyable. The food was some of the best we have eaten in a long time the steaks were cooked to perfection and the sauces were to die for. The chefs homemade lasagne was one of the best my wife had ever eaten and we were very pleased when the childrens meals came out to find that they use fresh produce for childrens meal not processed chicken or fish etc. A most enjoyable evening had by all and i will be recomending it to all my frinds[Report for Removal] | s turner coxhoe durham |

| we placed a order for two sirloin steaks 1 medium rare &1rare they both came over cooked in fact burnt our grandson had a hamburger and he could not eat as that was burnt.got no response from bar staff the whole meal was terrible.we we will not be going again and would not recomend them to anyone[Report for Removal] | babs. spennymoor co durham |

| Excellent food with reasonable prices served here so booking a reservation is advised as it tends to get quite busy in the restaurant part of the pub. The staff and the locals are friendly and very helpful. Live sports showing on match/event days. Nicely decorated and warm atmosphere. Theres a car park to the rear of the pub so parking isnt a problem. The drinks are quite cheap too. Just an all round awesome pub![Report for Removal] | Glenny T spennymoor durham |
