| A group of friends and I stopped at the pub for food and we were certainly not dissapointed. The food was piping hot and absolutely delicious, there were really big baguettes with all sorts of fillings absolutely packed, fresh pasta cooked to perfevtion with all fresh ingredients and fresh herbs, the chips were to die for, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside and really chunky, also I have to comment on the home made onion rings an absolute delight, we washed our meals down with an excellent chablis which was competitively priced and a really good pinot grigio, well done Duke of York we will definitely travel back to you from Sunderland for your food alone let alone the greaty surroundings, excellent service, good company and conversation. we plan to join you over the easter holidays to share in the live entertainment and sample more of the cuisine and wines and for the less cultured in our group your selection of beers. the other thing we are going to try are the Bailey's latte which sounds too scrummy for words. A most pleasant place wish it was close enough to be my walking distance local but well worth the drive as well.
