| We are a family 2 adults, 2 children and came upon this establishment by chance and what a find? Absolutely first class, a jewel amongst pubs and simply a must for any foodie, the service was swift, correct and above all with a smile. Very good menu, fresh local fare very well cooked and simply delicious. We will definitely recommend this place to all our friends and family [Report for Removal] | Peter Devos Filey North Yorkshire |

| I really recommend this pub. It has a wonderful traditional English pub atmosphere, full of character and makes a for a refreshing change, beautiful views too with ample parking. We went with 2 toddlers, 2 babies (in car seats) plus 5 adults and so we booked ahead to ensure there was plenty of room for us all. We were well accommodated and the ladies toilets were supplied with changing mat for babies. Although the pub is quiet and relaxing we did not feel the children were a nuisance to the management, in fact there were other children there too (but all very well behaved we hardly noticed them!). The service is polite and friendly perhaps a little on the slow side but this was a Sunday and they were quite busy so it wasn't a problem. We all had their traditional Sunday lunch which was absolutely delicious and huge servings (no room for desert just their creamy coffee). Prices were very reasonable, I think we paid around £7.50 for a 2 course Sunday lunch and the children's Sunday lunch was around £4.50. Would definately recommend and we'll certainly be returning.
