| I visited the Falcon in May 2005 for a school reunion organised by Brian Laverick. Many of my old classmates who I hadn't seen since I left school Jan 1959 to emigrate to Perth Aust attended the night. I loved the atmosphere of the pub as did my wife a third generation Aussie from Newcastle NSW. Australian pubs don't have the same feeling of belonging like English pubs. Brian & I email each other every week & I have often said I wish I was at the Falcon to enjoy the comaradie - something I really miss in the pubs & clubs on the Gold Coast where I now live. We are both passionate Newcastle supporters & I would love to be involved in discussions with the Mackems at the Falcon. I hope I get the opportunity to have a pint at the Falcon again.
