| Rooms clean, spacious and great views! Meals, out of this world and plentiful. Bring a big appetite and you will not be dissapointed! | I have been visiting the Anchor for many years and have always enjoyed the food there... however I returned earlier this year... WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT,the standard of the food has dropped, the portions are greatly reduced and the prices are totally unreasonable and have increased beyond any expectations. When i visited in the past there was always a healthy number of diners, this time there was only one other couple in the dining room and not many more in the bar area... this should have been an indication of how the locals think of the place. I understand that there is apparently a new chef.... if that is the case..BRING BACK THE OLD ONE. If things don't improve I for one will not be back. I have spoken to a number of people who are in a position to recomend to large numbers of potential diners and have in the past... they don't do so any more.
