| The recently refurbished and reopened Queen's Head in Heanor is a gem. Very smartly and tastefully decorated it is an example of what can be done when the owners place getting it right at the top of their agenda. A free house, it offers a huge range of well kept real ales - 6 on hand pump plus more straight from the barrel when we visited (August 2009). If you like your pub to have flashing lights, juke boxes, pool tables, fag machines and those noisy gambling machines don't come here. There aren't any. Nor a TV screen. It does have real fires, excellent beers, very good home cooked food (lunchtimes) and a friendly atmosphere. Heaven! [Report for Removal] | Dave Lowery Kimberley Nottinghamshire |
