| called to book a party of 13 on boxing day, landlady was very accomadating assured us there would be know problems. when we arrived there was an horrible smell, pine furniture more like a roadside cafe than pub restaurant.landlady said we all had to have the carvery even though some did not want it.food was overcooked meat chewy yorkshire puddings like cricket ball could not cut into them . in general the landlady was very rude and certainly would not recomend this pub to anyone[Report for Removal] | beverley carley melton leicestershire |

| Pub was taken over by new owners in Spring 2008 & they totally gutted it and refurbished it from top to bottom. It's now a lovely place, with excellent food & very warm welcome. | We went there in September 2007. The food was just on average, if the quantity was poor for pub food. Place very dusty and it was evident that they did not clean everyday. Cutlery stained, table cloths and napkins were stained and were not washed since the previous use. Never seen so dire. I would avoid.[Report for Removal] | K. T. Birmingham West Midlands |
