| Tried the Hanging Gate in May this year and it was very good. I then booked it for a party of 15 in October. We were generally very disappointed. Having phoned in choices at 11am to arrive at 1pm we had to wait a long while for the food to arrive. The plates were cold, the flat breads were microwave dried, the sauces were very dried and crusty around the pot rims. To be fair when we asked for a change of the chicken strips they did bring back some freshly cooked ones. It all seemed like a place with no direction, in a muddle and stressed. | Have been for meals on a number of occasions and we absolutely love it, Have took different friends at different times and they have all had a georgous meal and a wonderful evening. we will keep returning, its one of our most favourite places to eat. | Gemma The Pub manager was excellent, she answered our questions about the area,with positive statements.The pub was run with a friendly attitude which can only reflect on Gemma,s approach to her staff.We visited 3 times during our stay in UK and will certainly return.
