| This is a real pub, there are locals who have been settled here for years, but welcomes new comers to the area and also visitors - staying in the local Travelodge. food is served from 12 - 2 for lunch, and in the evenings ask behinf the bar and providing it is not too busy they will rustle you something up! the landlord is the longest serving in the area, having had the pub for 30 years now. there is Best on hand pump and often a guest ale, 4 largers, plus other beers. Cjoices of ciders, wines and spirits. avery area to keep the children amused, as well as a small slide. there is a patio area, and also a grass area with tables and umbrellas for the sunny days. there are lots of activities in the evening depending on the season! darts, pool, crib - and on wednesdays in the summer the traditional pub garden game of Bat and Trap! This pub has donated to Cancer research over 100 Thousand pounds over the years, and continues to contribute> if in the area pop in and am sure you will agree, this is a great pub.
