| After many many years away I recently went back to the spinner and found that the ambience was great, the service very good and the food excellent. I would personally recommend this pub. The landlord and lady run a quality place and its was clean, traditional without being twee and somewhere where the landlord CAN be bothered lighting his real fires.. | We visited the Spinner and Bergamont with relatives while on holiday from Perth Australia in August 2009. Fantastic meal, including Entree ,Main and Sweets were all deliciouse and served hot. Exellent service by very friendly staff and only wish we lived closer so that we could eat there more often. Will definatley go back on our next visit. Would love the recipe from the cheff for his Port wine reduction , as we had it with our lamb. It was beautifull. Would recomend this Pub to anybody. | Totally amazed by any negative comments here as The Spinner has always been one of our all-time favourites. We used to live in the area before moving to Wiltshire and enjoyed many an excellent meal at this pub during the '80s and early '90s. Things went off a little before the current couple (Robert and Anita) took over, but wow - what a difference they have made! There's a choice of guest beers, a lovely garden to enjoy them in, and the food is absolutely fabulous thanks to a really talented chef. So now the Spinner's back at the very top of our personal 'best pubs' list, and we make a point of eating there every time we go back to Cheshire.[Report for Removal] | Mike and Sue Corsham Wiltshire |
