| This is an excellent country pub. As for the comments on in breds I can only say that I have always felt extremely welcome. The new Landlords Paul and Vicky have had their work bringing trade back as the previous owner ( not landlord) ran it into the ground. The food is excellent and the 'craic' is usually very good on weekends. There is superb choice of Menu available and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. This pub makes a nice change from some of the places I have visited.Like in any country pub it takes a little time for people to get to know you . | I had a completly different experience. Never have i walked into a pub and felt so unwelcome. We didnt even stay for a second drink. From the moment we walked in there was abuse from intoxicated inbreds, and the barmaid would rather talk about her week to someone rather than serve us. | A lovely county pub which does excellent food. You enter the pub through an old wooden door thats on a latch and are always greeted with a friendly welcome. If you fancy a quiet drink in the countryside at night then this is your place. I believe they also have a few rooms up on a B&B basis aswell. I've been going for about 3 years and always like the it. If you drink lager, it sells Carling extra cold and trust me is one ofe the bext pints around. They also do guest ales for the CAMRA folk. The food is great and they do "homemade" chips which are worth the entrance petrol alone.. On the whole this pub is a must and can be visited at anytime of year. In the summer, the beer garden at the front offers a good breeze from the heat whilst in Winter the open fire is very appreciated.[Report for Removal] | Dave Howarth Winsford Cheshire |
