| What on earth has gone on hear, as a yearly visitor to this pub on my boat 18 months ago this place was fantastic, but now its like a gypsy caravan site the place is dirty and the food, well, bad. How can a succes become such a failure in a short time, i know times are hard but this place used to be packed now its empty but the car park is full of caravaners and the great unwashed, O oi believe that the old landlords have gone to Newport in Shropshire. sorry but no thanks. | The shady oak has been transformed from a tatty community centre for the great unwashed to a nice clean and welcoming place. The two guys who transformed this once precious cheshire Pub have now moved on have sold it to a small group who no doubt will continue to improve the service and clean environment that is available for boaters, walkers and locals, good luck to them we wish you well. | the shady oak!! the perfect position for a pub, great access by road and canal.great views,childrens play area,friendly staff, good food, good beer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!yes, this was once true, however, now the new "landlords" have taken over, boaters,alas are unwelcome, the playground has gone, even the outside tables have been moved to the tarmac, the landlords resist boats mooring on the pub side and frown upon boats in the viscinity, the opening hours are to say the least bizaar, with the landlords choosing what ever time they like with no prior warning. they seem to want to hand pick their clientel, the pink pound welcome, everyone else, beware, your not! | Just to let people know that the Shady Oak has now re-opened and is fully re-furbished, it now bosts a restaurant as well as a locals Snug, a visit is worth while [Report for Removal] | paul allen Northwich Cheshire |
