| We chose this pub for dinner, whilst on a canal cruising holiday after reading mixed reviews of the Barbridge hostelries. Many of the other diners I suspect were fellow narrow boaters. The pub is dog friendly! The place has been subject to extensive refurbishment recently offering a light and modern feel. The food on offer was very good well above the usual frozen catering standards with plenty of fresh veg and home made puddings. Staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. The garden was well laid out and cared for offering wooden climbing frames for kids. The food was exceptionally good value and I wonder if they can maintain such competitive pricing.
