| While taking a midweek break in the area, we came across Folly Inn as we walked in we were greeted with a roaring log fire then by the hosts whos welcome was just as warm. We had lunch which was good quality home cooking. Will be back later in the year as we noticed holiday cottages for rent. | went for my roast last sunday .... was welcomed with open arms ! the staff are wonderfull and the food is some of the greatest food iv ever had good job its got new owners the Rodens are an asset to this great looking pub. [Report for Removal] | luke stone leamington spa warwickshire |

| What an absolutely beautiful little pub, everything you could imagine a country pub to be. extremely welcoming, cosy fires, wonderful scenery and fantastic food. | If i was local to napton i would be worried about who has recentley took over The Folly. The rodens used to run The Grist Mill Inn in Leamington Spa but were thrown out by the brewery for a racist attack on a customer with a stool. | Turned up at 8.45 last saturday for some food and drinks to be told the chef wasn't doing anymore food that night.Being our last night on the boat we had no food in. the staff attitude to this was poor.they di us an big favour in thqt we went to the Crown in NApton where the food was great and the staff greeted us with warmth[Report for Removal] | stuart basford sheffield derbyshire |

| I wasnt very Jolly after my visit to the Folly Inn due to No Food hardly,not stocked up after weekend.No Veg,No Steak,Chicken,Pate,Soup,it was never ending.No excuse because meat is vacuum-packed these days.Plates were chipped.The wait was endless so after waiting for hour and half for Starter we asked for money back.For Busy part of Canal this Pub was Shocking,complete waste of Space.[Report for Removal] | jolleyannie Northampton Northamptonshire |

| garlic mushrooms....3 small mushrooms, no sauce, 2 lettuce leaves and about 1/4 of grated carrot. Asked for sauce, got a small pot of mayo.6 people before us in pub, waited 40 minutes for starter then demanded money back for main, as had waited so long and starter appalling. Looked at menu, told no steaks, then no vegetables, and when friend went into kitchen to get money back, the so called freshly cooked food.... chips in baskets already cooked waiting to be reheated. this was Monday 24th August. Man behind bar was on his 3rd night and very apologetic and was obviously embarrassed. | Food: disappointing, quite small portions, the pie was in fact a small amount of stew covered with a piece of puff pastry. Beer: nice local beer Staff: polite, but not too welcoming Hygiene: we were quite put off by a long curly hair in the prawn cocktail (we have photo evidence) Seems like the location by a busy canal stop with no competition nearby may have let to this state of affairs[Report for Removal] | Wlodek Tych Grange-over-Sands Cumbria |
