| We really enjoyed Sunday lunch at this pub. We did wait a while for our meal, but they were very busy. I would have liked to see more stuffing with my roast turkey and a pot of cranberry sauce that stayed on the table and not snatched away, but the portions are very generous. My friend's beef wellington from the specials menu was well cooked and tasty with a Madeira flavoured sauce. If I have one criticism I thought that the tiny portion of Christmas pudding did not merit the price and the accompaniment was plain custard not the advertised brandy sauce. Great selection of beers and wines. The cask wine is overpriced. Look what bottles they have on special offer instead. I would definitely recommend this pub for food quality and ambience but they shouldn't let success go to their heads and overcharge unnecessarily. There is plenty of choice on the standard menu to appeal to everyone including families with children who are made welcome with high chairs provided for littlies[Report for Removal] | Jenny Fletcher Havant Hampshire |
