| Excellent!! Went to a wedding over the week-end and stayed at The Black Robin. When we rang up to book earlier this year we were told that the pub was under new management and having some changes which should be completed by June. All I can say is that the welcome we received was second to non, you are made to feel at home from the moment you arrive. The rooms are spacious and clean. | Was on holiday last week in Canterbury & tried the Black Robin. Agree with EVERYTHING the othere reviewees have said - food excellent & the new managers are doing a great job. They were extremely happy to cook something "to order" for us specially, as my friend had problems eating some of the regular specials. It was so good that we went back another 2 evenings last week for drinks and a pudding!!! Do pop in and try their shop as well, if you're passing - I hear they sell newspapers too. | I went to the Black Robin a few months ago and it was OK BUT went back a few weeks ago and new Landlords had taken it over. Wow what a difference I happened to go on a night when it was the Landlords birthday and they laid on the most amazing buffet totally FREE for everyone in the pub. There was also an amazing singer and the whole night had such a great atmosphere. We were made so welcome. I went back a couple of weeks later and did not expect the same as I put the experience down to the party atmosphere, but what a great surprised, we had amazing food, very reasonably priced and the service is great. It will now be a regular haunt for me even though it is an hour away from my home. Great place for parties as they have entertainment but also perfect on the quieter nights for a romantic meal. | Went there for Sunday dinner for a family birthday on 31/11/08. First time there and thoroughly enjoyed it, All the Staff really made us feel welcome and even surprised us with a Birthday Cake!(at no cost). To sum up: Good traditional English pub with open fires and large helpings of Sunday roast, great food, good range of starters and deserts.
