| We visited yesterday lunchtime, and I had the ' daily special' of steak and kidney pie with short crust pastry and fresh vegetables. Given that this was supposed to be a special of the day I expected the pie would have been home made. What I got was a shop bought pie which tasted as if it had been heated up in a microwave! The pastry was soggy and for £8.95 poor value.I am not even sure that there was a proper chef present.
