| Hi, I've visited the Kings Head several times in the last few months every time I have received great service, great food and on my last visit a choice of 19 real ales at their first beer festival which showcased all local breweries. The food was lovely with a wide variety to suit all tastes. The wine list is extensive; my wife enjoyed several of the wines on offer, lots of the food was locally sourced. The new land lord seems very friendly and the staff attentive without being too much so. The atmosphere in both the public and saloon bars is pleasant. | I have visited the Kinds Head a few times over the last year and find it always a really lovely pub with a great atmosphere with friendly staff that are customer focused. I would recommend the restuarant to all, as the menu has a wide variety to choose from and the food is presented to a great standard. The King Head's is alway's offering different entertainment on different nights through out the month including quiz nights, wine and cheese nights (which is a good night as you are told about the different wines and cheeses they choose fron different countries which is very imformative)to name a couple. | My family and I have frequently visited this pub and had fantastic service and food. We returned in February for my husbands birthday in February, we had not visited since the summer of 2008 and understand now under new management - well what can i say it was awful. We had a shared started - it was all frozen pre-packed food - we were given no serviettes or plates. My husband was served up the wrong meal - he returned it and another meal arrived when i had finished mine. I had a pasta dish nothing spectacular and they had the cheek to charge £ 11.00. The coffee was cold - the wine was not poured. Three adults and one child - over £ 100.00 - not worth it - the new management had better take another look at the service he is providing - such a shame to see a good pub which definitely had it right to go down hill.
