| Contrary to the previous review I can thoroughly recommend this pub. The staff are always friedly and helpful and having been a regular diner for the past 3 years I can truly say that I have never been disappointed with either the quality of the food or the service. The food is cooked fresh to order and on busy days if you want good food it is worth the wait. The most we have waited is 30 minutes but we have always been informed to the wait in advance. Give it a go yourself. The steaks are all cooked to perfection (chargrilled i think) and most people i know recommend the lamb shank.[Report for Removal] | Julie Colchester Essex |

| Having spent several hours waiting for food and service we have decided never to darken their door again. Shame really as food we have had in the past was very nice, today however was a complete farce. Cold food and very poor service from a girl who quite clearly didn't want to be there.
