| Have been to The Angel and its sister pub in Melford and I find that both venues are wonderful, location, service, decoration and more importantly, the food, are all very good and of a very high standard. Pricewise, also very affordable for an evening out. The menu is always changing which offers variety which is also very good. | We visited here on a Sunday lunchtime in October 2009. All the staff were keen to find us a table, take our order etc. and service was given with a smile, in all cases appearing genuinely interested and not the "plastic" smiles and stock phrases you get at many pub chains. Indeed it was obvious they were all very happy to be working there. We ordered a traditional roast lunch at a very reasonable cost. The meal was excellent and again presented as "home cooked" - not like the usual cheap pub chain offerings. If, no when, we are holidaying in the area again, we shall not hesitate to visit The Angel.
