| Staff very welcoming & friendly, without being intrusive. Food delicious - well, well above average. Good portion sizes, served with a generous & varied portion of vegetables. | This pub has just been refurbed and its fantastic. The food was hot and plentiful. We both had the roast fore rib of beef and it's the first time I have been out for sunday lunch and felt it was like what would have had at home. The menu isnt huge which is a plus as far as I'm concerned. If you have children they are welcome and there is also a fenced in area outside with tables so they can play safetly. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to anyone and I know this is going be our local even if it is approx 18 miles from where we live in Maldon.[Report for Removal] | sue costello maldon essex |

| was reccommended by friends, and we were not dissapointed.set just off a quiet country road is this lovely old thatched pub.After being welcomed by the landlord As we walked in. The pub immediatly had a welcoming feel about it. From the open roaring fire to the smile of the friendly barmaids. After peruseing the huge menu we were treated to a hearty meal, helped down by a fine real ale.
