| We had the misfortune to go for a family meal in this restaurant on Sunday. It was one of the worse meals out we have had in a long time. Firstly the Sunday menu was different to the one shown on their website with no chicken on offer which meant there was no white meat option on the menu at all. The ham and pea soup could only be described as a foul mushy pea mush, 3 people in our party ordered it and no one was able to finish it. The roasts (beef and lamb) were just about acceptable, howevert the lasagne was clearly micro waved and was inedible. The deserts were all served on hot plates (yes even the cold deserts) and the chocolate pudding was disgusting (another micro waved offering ?). The service was not much better, for both the starters and mains they brought out one wrong dish and we had to keep asking for sources and additional gravy before they arrived. Extra drinks were ordered and never turned up - as to whether we were charged for them we don't know as they failed to give us a breakdown of the bill. As I mentioned we were there on a family occasion with 3 different generations so I didn't feel we could complain too much. Needless to say we will not be going there again.[Report for Removal] | David Hayden Chelmsford Essex |
