| Although we loved the pub as it was before the new management took over (used to be dog friendly - always a bonus for us), the food was below average. However, on recommendation we ate Sunday lunch there a little while ago and I'm pleased to say there was an abundance of great tasting food at a very reasonable price. | The Old Bell is a delightful pub full of charm. With it's original beams and fireplace, it makes a nice change to some of these sterile featureless modern pubs. The bar staff and locals really make you feel welcome in this heart of the community. The food is fab' and resonably priced (my favorite is the Bell special), and they have great live music nights which are always popular.
