| Having dined at The Plough recently with family, I felt that the menu pricing was complicated. All of the specials of the day incurred a supplement. Of the six standard main courses, one of those also incurred a supplement, therefore the price of 1, 2 or 3 courses does not really apply. The childrens menu (quite limited), which was not offered to us, we had to ask, does not warrant £6 for 3 fish fingers (shop bought) and chips. The service was friendly, although we waited ages for our order to be taken and to order a drinks top up. It is not the place for an intimate dinner as it was very noisy and also very hot. The 10% service charge only for parties of 6 or more is unfair as we did not get any extra/special service. I also felt that as one of the mains was burger and chips (albeit a very heavy burger), it does not justify the £11 price tag (if you choose one course). It came with a few leaves, 2 thin slices of cucumber and 1 quarter of tomato. Sadly, I won't be making a return visit in a hurry. [Report for Removal] | Julie Surridge Romford Essex |
