| Great little pub with an excellent selection of gravity fed guest ales (a rare thing these days!), friendly staff and good bar food. Just a shame someone has to be the designated driver and miss out on the beer![Report for Removal] | Darren Basildon Essex |

| I was sorry to read Mr. Redway's comment's on the food side. I always say that if you want to eat, go to a restaurant. From a drinking point of view, it is a fine pub: friendly staff, fine selection of ales and a cosy atmosphere. The perfect English pub. Unfortunately you have to drive to get there.[Report for Removal] | HornchurchJohn Hornchurch Essex |

| We have been here several times now and watched it go downhill ! The bar is fine if you want to sample the good selection of real ales, and guest beers - no problem with that. However, the adjoining resaurant has become a bit of a joke. We used to eat there until recently, but after waiting around 20 minutes just to have our order taken on 3 occaisions, and then having to ask to order, we have now found somewhere else to go. The sloppiness of service, the excuses such as "well it's Tuesday", the missing items from the order, the sudden price hike, we'd had enough.[Report for Removal] | Patrick Redway Basildon Essex |
