| I was shocked to read the reviews on here about the Llwyn. Whilst everybody is entitled to their opinion, I wouldn’t want those opinions to deter others from visiting a fantastic place. I’m not what you call a regular, but have been there on a number of occasions over the years. Yesterday our party consisted of 2 adults and 2 toddlers. Brenda who greeted us and took our order was fantastic. The food came in a short while and was plentiful. The children enjoyed their specially selected meals, while me and hubby tucked into ours. From what I can see, the clientele is of a varied age. From the older generation to loved up teenagers and families with small children. Everyone had the same welcome and whilst not everyone will have access to leave reviews, I’m sure there are a lot more happy customers than this review site portrays. | The llywncelyn hotel was recommended to myself by a family friend but i found our visit to be quite dissappointing sorry. Our food came out 10-15 minutes earlier than our childrens and even when they did get theirs they were cold, which only leads me to believe that they must've been sitting on the side for all that time. However we were all so hungry by this time we all ate our COLD FOOD. My wife went to the bar to get us another round of drinks and to order some puddings for the kids and overheard a member of the kitchen staff laughing about her mishap to the waitress and then moan about how we were getting on her nerves asking how much longer the kids food was going to be......charming! Ok i apprieciate that it my be stressfull working in a resturaunt but manners and good customer skills dont cost anything, something i feel some people in this establishment lack. | After having several meals at the Llwyncelyn I can honestly say that the place itself is wonderful. I have never had a bad meal there, I have taken family there which include both elderly grandparents and my young children. We were greeted with a warm welcome, shown to our seats and asked if there was anything we needed, high chairs were provided by the staff as we were seated. We placed our orders with minimum of fuss and our meals arrived shortly after, despite being at a busy period in the day. Our meals were plentiful, warm and well presented. Our plates were cleared away after we had finished and despite none of the adults having dessert the children enjoyed their icecreams. We were well looked after and even on the way out was asked was everything ok. I have no problem with the food, staff or service at the Llwyncelyn, I would recommend this place to anyone. | been out for a meal tonight down the llwyncelyn hotel tonight stunning meal really enjoyed how people are making bad comments i dont know cause its the best meal ive had and plenty of it nice to have real homemade pies and chips like dylans and the bertie , the staff were very welcoming and friendly helpful towards us all cant wait to go out for another meal cook dinners on a sunday are absouletly stunning everything is fresh and fresh gravy not bisto see you soon p.s all you get a life out there and jobs[Report for Removal] | emma Porth glamorgan |

| ive just came back from having a meal here and was absolutely discusted with the service, although the food was nice the staff were awful which resulted in my party leaving before we were ready. We had booked a table for up to 20 of us which included children and we were told that this would be fine, we also explained that we are part of a playgroup and we were having a end of term get together to which they said this was also fine. When we got there we were not welcomed, infact some of my party were told that they couldnt come in with there pushchairs! {May i also add that out of my party there were all in all 4 pshchairs and they were not blocking anything or in the way and that the babies were fast asleep in them.} We all did eventually get in but then the staff were hostile and rude toward us. On several occasions when we each made a visit to the bar the staff were slagging us off, we werent loud or rude and the children apart from 2 were fast asleep so i cant understand why they would do this? When the food came a member of my party recieved the wrong sauce to go with her steak and simply asked the waitress if she could change it to which the ''chef'' came out, plonked the same sauce on the table and said ' this is peppercorn sauce, im the cook so i would know love'' and left. I can tell you now it was gravy, it even had the beefy smell to it and tasted of it! The atmoshere was so tense that we didnt finish our meals, even though we wouldve liked to and even of perhaps had a dessert. The staff are absolutely awful, i wouldnt reccomemd this place to anyone especially people with children. This place is not child friendly.[Report for Removal] | gemma porth rhondda cynon taff |
