| This is without a doubt the best pub I've ever been in. I was doing the Pennine Way and stayed in Alston for a few days to recouperate mid-way through. It has such a great atmosphere, the bar staff, Landlord and locals are really friendly too. I would recommend to anyone who visits Alston, to go in for a drink. | This has to be one of the best pubs in the country for friendliness. Both the hosts and the locals are real gems, never have i felt such warmth when entering a place. It is Alston's oldest inn and has all the wordly charm of such a place.[Report for Removal] | Steve Thorpe Armathwaite Cumbria |
