| I knew their pies were good, now I know their pub is superb. In the last two weeks I have been twice for a meal, Sunday lunchtime and Friday evening. Both times they were busy, but you would not know it from the service which was without exception excellent and friendly. The roast in a bap was generous and delicious and served with a jug of PROPER gravy. The Whitby scampi was splendidly succulent, the chips and veg just right. The pies are worth the visit however long the journey...
