| My husband and I ate here yesterday. It was absolutely fantastic.We had hummous and olives to start and then pan fried hake with caponata and lovely vegetables. All of it was delicious. | 5 of us visited The Ship Inn October 2009. Highly recommend the steak and ale pie or the pork, both dishes 10/10. Vast quantity of fresh crisy veg, more than we could manage. Puddings are to die for, my fruit sundea I can honestly say was the best i've ever tasted and at £4 excellent value. Menu vastly improved since our visit in the summer; more upmarket. Small cosy pub with a being at home feel about it. Spotlessly clean. Excellent smoking area with seats, overhead shelter and heater. Lovely garden too which takes you down to the river.
