| A group of us went after a Sunday walk. The staff were incredibly rude and unhelpful, and treated us as if we were a problem to them. I was told the meat was free range which I think was a lie. The food was cold and worth £6 rather than £12. I will never go back unless it changes hands or the staff get some training. I recommend a charm school. The pudding was awful too. | Visited the Plough Inn on 11th January 2009 when we brought our daughter back to University. Four of us had a fantastic meal. The food was excellent quality, very well presented and plentiful. The staff were attentive and friendly. On requesting parmesan the waiter very kindly left it for my husband to help himself, this is unusual, most places give you a very small spoonful and take it away. Thank you - we will be back. | I have eaten twice now at the Plough and both times the food was just great - not cheap, but you do get what you pay for. The fillet steak was wonderfuL as was the lamb. | You get what you pay for and in this case thats great service, beautiful food and relaxed surroundings. We had a good 3 course dinner followed by coffee and can strongly reccomend the whole experience - I have no doubt that I will return. | Welcoming pub, friendly staff, and Italian style Conservatory restaurant or you can eat bar food. Restaurant food great, would rate as excellent except for three things. They serve non Italian food (i.e. Sunday roast) in pasta plates, undercooked vegetables with food, and put olives in a scallop dish that has curry sauce. Having said that, they are happy to cancel the olives, cook the vegetables more and serve them seperately, and anything else picky people such as we are require! I can still taste the roast pheasant!
