The Albion is one of those rare breeds of pub now. It is STILL a pub and nto some anonymous bar selling ridiculous bottled fizz. However, it is not a crusty died in the wool pub just selling awful warm cloudy beer with bits in it to bearded clowns from CAMRA. Astonishingly it straddles both camps without belonging to either and, as a result, is the better for it. Whilst it does serve real ales (Harveys, Tmothy Taylor, and Pride) it also caters for Lager drinkers (Stella, Kronenberg and Carling) as well as Guiness - and all of them kept in tip top coniditon. It does allow for those silly bottled fizz drinks for the wannabees who, of course, neverwillbes. With more TVs than you can shake a stickat and with both Sky and Setanta on oferr it caters for the brainless hordes who shout at the TV (soccer and horse racing) as wel as for the more intelligent viewer who applauds good play regardless of which team it came from. Food is available - both trad at alunch times and a Thai kitchen in the evening. The porr smoker will find a haven outside and the staff are friendly.
