| The food at the George & Dragon is first class, quality not quantity, at last a pub getting away from the the dreary " every pub has it " food. Carole & Gavin Austin ( new proprietors ) made us very welcome the meal was a pleasure to enjoy, small menus mean a lot no microwave pre-cooked nosh at this pub ! well done to you both.[Report for Removal] | Brian angmering west sussex |

| Freinds and I went to the George and Dragon in the week. And had a wonderful meal. We have eaten in other pubs around the area. And were amazed when our meal came at the vast amounts of Fresh Vegtables and the Large size of the portions served. The only trouble we had was choosing what to eat as the Menu was vast. So we are making a weekly visit to sample the other dishes. We were pleased to see that they were using malamine plates outside and plastic.I always worry about children/pets stepping on broken glass I don't mind eating or drinking of plastic. | I don't know what award the chef has won, but it may not be to do with food! Terrible meal on Easter Monday, standard pre-packaged and heated fare in the garden [beware, they don't make it obvious you can't have the 'full' menu if you sit in the garden, though the lackadaisical staff will happily dish them out to you!].
