| All 3 previous reviews refer to the previous tenants who vacated in 2009. The Vine is now run by Pete and Linda who run the pub in excellent fashion and a piece of freezer food you will not find! Peter, and Linda's son Matty are both excellent chefs and everything is cooked from scratch even down to making their own ice-cream, which is to die for! I and my partner have eaten there many times since their arrival and if you want to be sure of the quality of the food just ask any of the regulars, you won't be disappointed. | i was most upset about the previous review. I have been visiting the vine for a couple of months now, good food, a higher level of usual pub standard is set, if u want gourmet then go to the parsonage. Friendly bar staff make it a great atmosphere. An enjoyable night 10 out of 10.[Report for Removal] | lee brown worthing west sussex |

| My husband and I visited here for a pub lunch, based on their local reputation for good food. The prices averaged at £7-£8 for a dish off the main menu, at the foot of the page was a tag line stating their food was home cooked and only fresh veg was used.... My husband ordered fish and chips, which consisted of a breaded piece of fish you would expect to get in a budget box from Iceland, poor quality chips and I would presume frozen peas; it was dreadful. I ordered the lasagne, which was micro-waved fresh from the freezer, was utterly devoid of flavour; and was basically glutenous slodge, which had a shiny look to the sauce, suggesting to me it was bought in. To sum up, a complete waste of money and time. [Report for Removal] | Emma Slade worthing west sussex |
